We know that new teachers learn very little about the various nuances of educating students from diverse populations; Add to that, students who look nothing like them might bring an additional layer of uncertainty. For many new teachers taking their talents to inner city school environments the challenge of relevance becomes a solid issue.
We have a solution for that. We have taken a proven framework and created a series of developmental approaches that will give teachers the confidence, knowledge, and strategy to present an educational experience that supports student development and performance.

program evaluation & research
Do you need a program evaluator for a new or recently completed project?
We approach your program comprehensively while reviewing quantitative and qualitative data to tell a story of how your program performed or how your program can perform effectively. We work with your staff to ensure that appropriate data points are being captured and assist in developing an evaluation plan to scan the life of the project. Our goal is to solidify programmatic improvement as you strive to consistently offer quality programming to your client.
Client: Northeastern Illinois University
MCB Educational Solutions conducted a 4-month program evaluation for a 7-year GEAR UP grant, a program that partners with local public schools to provide services focusing on increasing the college and career readiness of low income students in underserved communities. An effort that serviced a total of 54 Chicago public schools. The evaluation report confirmed that widespread programs like such, that specifically focus on the education and advancement of low income students in underserved communities played an impactful role in post secondary matriculation and work-force preparation. The report also indicated that from a statistical standpoint, there was an increase > 50% in student services data highlighting the incredible job NEIU provided in and through the GEAR UP program.
