About us
MCB Educational Solutions is an education consulting and program evaluation firm that partners with educational organizations, non-profits, and other stakeholders to ensure Black and Brown students receive an equitable educational experience. In this space, we advance our work through training & development, research & program evaluation, and strategic planning services.
Through our new teacher training & development focus, we specifically give new teachers the knowledge and strategy to build sustainable and effective teacher-student relationships that result in performance longevity during their 1st through 5th year. We also specialize in providing staff education on core topics such as-cultural relevance training, inter- and intra-personal relationship building, and classroom management training.
Our Philosophy
At MCB Educational Solutions, we believe that there is nothing more powerful than the effectiveness of relationships through cultural relevance and understanding. Even more important is the design & execution of these relationships through appropriate strategies, training, and outcomes. When stakeholders understand the usefulness of acting as a team to support this effort, powerful things can happen.
What We Do
Our consulting team uses a framework that presents relationship-building as the foundation to developing socially, behaviorally, emotionally, and academically adept students. We advance this framework by training, developing, and equipping new teachers within diverse student populations with the tools needed to build positive classroom environments, solid inter-connected relationships of trust and support, and culturally relevant based pedagogies of curriculum.
Through this approach, we aim to provide a suitable and effective solution to the pre-identified problem of low academic achievement among Black & Brown students who come from low to moderate income communities and to provide new teachers with the knowledge skills and abilities needed to advance student development and achievement.
